Construction of the new Founder's Club is underway with a target opening date of February, 2008.  The new course, located on Highway 17 in Pawleys island, is being designed by Thomas Walker, former lead designer for Gary Player Design.  The construction costs are estimated at more than $7 million.  Plans include substantial design changes to the former Sea Gull Golf club layout along with a brand new clubhouse facility.  Palmetto Architecture of Myrtle Beach is handling the design of the new Pawleys Island Golf Clubhouse, which will overlook the 10th and 18th greens.
